Lucky Stripe Bath Rug

Wrapables sells these cool multicolor striped bath rugs made out of acrylic that caught my eye the other day. Simple stripes, but I like the sort of earthy colors they chose for the rug. The stripes are green, brown, orange, taupe, blue, brick red and cream colored - it’s a sort of retro yet new simple look. They actually make a matching set of shower curtain, towels, toothbrush holder, shower curtain hooks, and a lotion pump. The bath rug measures 2 feet by 2.5 feet.

This specialized chlorine removal looked kind of interesting for those swimmers who frequent local pools that have a high chlorine content. I used to have that problem when swimming at the local public park pool years ago - even after washing your hair you could still detect a strong chlorine odor and it felt really dry/brittle. The Ultra Swim is supposed to contain a non-drying, moisturizing formula along with certain chemicals that will help get rid of the chlorine left over after swimming. It also has vitamin E and aloe along with conditioners. It comes in a 4 pack if you get it online, but I haven’t really seen it too frequently in stores.
Think way back to sitting in the bathtub when you were a kid. I don’t know about you but we always had a ton of different plastic toys stored under the sink in a washtub that we’d delight in playing with. Led to a lot of pruny looking fingers from staying in too long.
Steeltek makes this slightly swanky stainless steel line of bath and shower accessories. This 4″ x 5.5″ soap dish caught my eye for its simple look and functionality. It might not be a match for a traditional bathroom, but definitely would fit in with a more modern bathroom look. It has a rounded lip to prevent the soap from falling out as well as 12 perforated holes for drainage. You can disassemble the bottom portion of the soap dish in order to clean out the water and soap that pools there.
If you’re seeking to add a little beach love to your boring landlocked bathroom, then you might be interested in these colorful Lilly Pulitzer rugs. I saw them on Amazon, but I think they’re sold through Macy’s directly. The 100% cotton rug features fun in the sun palm tree patterns that are raised up out of the rug. There are 5 cheery pastel beach colors to choose from including Lime, Sky Blue, White, Lemon Twist and Pink Lemonade. Lilly Pulitzer also has matching accessories like shower curtains.
Philosophy has such a huge variety of these “three-in-one” shampoo, body wash and bubble that at least one of them will appeal to you. This one has a refreshing “Red Apple Delicious” scent that is supposed to “help keep the blues away.”
If you’re looking for an elegant but different looking set of metal shower hooks for your curtain, you might be interested in these ball shower hooks from Alladin Bottle. They have a decorative ball on one end of the hook to secure it to the shower curtain. The set comes with 12 of the stylish and aesthetically pleasing hooks, which are about 3 1/4 inches long. Because the hook has a fairly wide opening, pulling the curtain too fast may cause them to fly off, but for the most part they’ve got a good glide along the curtain rod.
Taking a cue from the space saving soap dispensers in public bathrooms, Better Living has been making a number of these soap and shampoo “Dispensers”. The idea is to consolidate all those bottles of shampoo and conditioner into one small dispenser that you can install on the wall where it’s out of the way.
Whee, more bath mats with pictures to look at! This Paul Frank Bath Mat is definitely not just for the kids - you, too, can have monkey Julius greeting you as you step out of the tub.
Buzz, buzz… no it’s not the sounds of bees in your bath. This is a deliciously scented, fizzing bath bomb from Lush that might just be the bees knees. It features honey (of course) and aloe, bergamot, and orange along with rhassoul mud to help calm your skin.
