The thing about bathroom tile is that because of the humidity from taking a shower or bath, there’s a lot of humid moisture that sticks around. Inevitably, you’ll be dealing with all sorts of funky things like mold and mildew growing on the tile.

One of the best ways to deal with this is an after-shower type of cleaner. For example, this Tilex Fresh Scent Daily Shower Cleaner is pretty commonly used. The secret is that there IS no secret… pretty much all of these daily shower cleaners work the same way. You just spray or mist it onto the surfaces and leave it. There’s no need to wipe it off which is kind of nice.

I have two issues with these cleaners - the first is that because it’s a daily spray, I tend to use it up rather quickly (especially true if you take more than one shower or bath a day!) Secondly, if you already have mold or mildew this isn’t necessarily going to clean it all up. It’s a preventive spray, a preemptive strike against mildew. Still, it’s sort of handy to have around and it does seem to prevent mildew from forming as readily.
