I think cooking at home is a unique experience that can “empower” the person cooking. While I like a night out at a restaurant, the feeling one gets when they serve up a delicious meal from their home kitchen is something that lasts a lot longer than a meal that was eaten outside of the home. chefjp

Self-submission bias; since your website chiefly concerns itself with cheap and economical ways to cook for yourself, the greatest concentration of interested readers are going to be those who have a vested interest in doing so. At least, that’s why I think

There are purists who consider “cooking” to be from scratch with raw ingredients, and there are people who consider boiling water for ramen to be cooking. I think your poll says more about how often your visitors eat out than “cook.” And like you said, you’ve got an audience who probably has an interest in cheap eating and recipes (i.e. not eating out), so it’ll definitely be skewed.
