[ Currently Eating: Earthquake Food ]
NOTE: Due to rocking and rolling and other earthquakedness, our regular Cheap Eats coverage will be postponed until such a time as the ground stops shaking. For now, please gaze fondly at this older photo of an enormous shrimp dumpling from the now defunct Won Ton Time on Garfield in Monterey Park.
Regular coverage will resume in a few days, or next week depending on schedule and Laziness Quotient™. Thank you.

Hehe. To each his own. But I’ll allow the dumplings do look like brains closeup…

LOL, when I first looked I thought it was cauliflower soup. …not the prettiest dumpling, but plump trumps. I just had a teeny, tiny skinny dumpling in what passes for an asian cafe where I live. I’m jealous.
Glad to know you’re okay.

Glad you weathered the temblor alright.
I remember earthquake drills under our desks in Chula Vista elementary school in the 60′s. Don’t remember any actual quakes out there, but went through 2 mild ones in the 70′s in Memphis. Scary stuff because you never know how bad it will get and there is not much you can do about it.
I never could go for the steamed dumplings, but the less healthy fried ones are killer.
