Cheap Eats at Bloglander

Hello, hello Cheap Eaters! I have made a it a bad habit of injuring various body parts over the past couple years. First it was the shoulder and back. (Actually, those are still ongoing issues, that are tolerable.) But the latest and greatest is some sort of injury to a joint on my left ring finger. No idea what happened but I’ve had to tape it up which has made it absolutely JOYFUL to type. The previous entry was done mostly with one hand and 2 fingers.

Thusly - I really need to take a R&R break. And because I also happen to be working on an upcoming project related to Cheap Eats, I thought I might as well take the opportunity for a longer vacay. Not that long, mind you. I’ll likely return with posts some time in late September.

By the way, thanks to everyone who has posted wonderful comments and written in with words of encouragement over the years. I really appreciate it!

    I’m gonna miss your blatant disregard for sodium intake. Although semi-expensive, drink up some milk to heal dem bones/joints.

    Yes, we will miss you. Just as a few ideas to consider while on break:
    cheap drinks, the bargain brand sodas
    cheap alcohol, foxnews did one some $4 wine that compares to $20
    expensive herbs that can be grown yourself?

    Oh no! I’m so sorry to hear that you’re injured! I just came across your blog today, and I love it! It has the same sort of idea as mine - posting recipes for cheap meals. However, I must admit - your recipes beat mine in price by a long shot! Good luck in recovery - I’ll read through all your old posts in the meantime!

    Dearest Bryan,
    As a hungry college student, I truly appreciate your blog and going back through past years and meal ideas, but there’s just one thing that makes my searching difficult… there’s no way under the categories to search for cheap eats by cooking method! As a pathetic dorm resident, I’m limited to the microwave and a neighbor’s blender, none of that fancy grilled cheese sandwich making for me! You should definitely look into a “microwave only” section under categories, or maybe even a blog on microwave/mini fridge friendly cheap eats. :)
