DP - Cheap Eats at Bloglander

I’m sorry folks, still under the weather over here. So I’m just going to post more free food stuff found around the web. I caught this one over on Iateapie - thank God I finally figured out how to setup rss feeds in Thunderbird so I don’t have to visit 86 different blogs every day.

Anyhow, it seems like Dr. Pepper didn’t get enough love from giving away free soda with Guns and Roses. So, they’re going to give away 2 million more bottles of free soda. Diet soda, that is. Yuck, count me out. I can’t stand it. But if you’re into it, head on over from now until the end of March. You can get either a free 20 oz or a 2 liter bottle - weird, why the metric choice?

Of course, you have to REGISTER to get the free soda. Yada, yadda, yaddda, give away first born son. And so on.

And now, back to bed for me. See you in the springtime. Potweet.

Diet Dr. Pepper is definitely the exception to the rule of diet sodas. In terms of taste it’s darn near close to the regular stuff.

I love Diet Dr. Pepper, and you really can’t taste the difference.

With the coupon received from the last giveaway, I tried the diet cherry vanilla Dr. Pepper. As the others have said, it doesn’t taste like your typical diet pop, it’s just plain delicious standing on its own merits. It’s highly recommended if you’ve never had one ……..

Wow, I’m kinda surprised at the number of people who wrote in to say that diet Dr. Pepper is very different than typical diet soda. I mean, I love normal Dr. Pepper. But I’ve heard that song and dance before w/ other sodas about how their Diet is different. As a rule, I avoid diet soda like the plague - but I think I’m going to have to give it a try now.

I am just making a general comment. I went to a food bank and one of the items given to me (free, of course) was a 24 oz. can of ‘beef’ stew. Then out of curiosity I ‘googled’ the name of the company that made it and bloglander.com was listed in the results. So I clicked on that particular link and sure enough a beautiful photo of the product was shown with your analysis of it. After reading that I immediately threw the can of ‘beef’ stew away (without opening it). Anyway, I immediately made your website a ‘favorite’. Nice website, beautiful photos, thanks. Oh, the product was Hartford House ‘beef’ stew.

Maybe it’s not the case in the states, but all of our soda bottles in Canada (and most other parts of the world) are measured in litres. 2L bottles, 355ml cans, etc. So that’s probably why there is a metric choice.

I got the coupon in the mail today, and it gives you the option of Diet DP or Regular DP, so go ahead and indulge.
Kind of defeats the purpose of a diet giveaway, but I’m not complaining. :)
