I stumbled across some really cool pins from Happy Owl Glassworks the other day. These square pins are about an inch across and are created out of fused glass. Head Owl Tracy offers a good selection of animals on her glass pins so you have quite a few choices including the following: fawn, owl, bunny, squirrel, porcupine, ladybug, damselfly and chess piece. I like how many of the glass pieces aren’t pure white or clear but feature very nice background color choices for the glass like olive green, powder blue and purple.

From her site:

I have always been fascinated by the likes of birds, trees and simple curiosities around me that deserve a closer look. I try to incorporate these ideas into my glass, feeling that they are reachable by many walks of life. Regarding the style of my work, I pursued the media of glass with a background in graphic design. Because of this rigid mindset, I can’t seem to shake the look of hard lines in much of my work. However, I try to create a complimentary mix of warm subject matter with fine technical detail to amount to a friendly body of functional glasswork. I hope you enjoy it.

One of my favorites is her newest addition for spring which is a brownish damselfly on a mint green background. You can see a pic of it to the right. Her items seem pretty inexpensive for the quality of the work. In addition to these cute square glass pins, she also makes cufflinks, pendants, cards and interestingly enought - nightlights! These are fused glass plates that are mounted on a switched nightlight that can be plugged into a standard outlet. You can check out her site at:
