9/6/05 | No Coast Craft-O-Rama
I found another cool looking potential DIY jewelry craft show/fair to consider when selling your items.
This one has the interesting name No Coast Craft-O-Rama which is of course because the craft fair is located in Minneapolis, MN. So many times for craft shows and fairs, you hear about “West Coast this” and “East Coast that” - and so I think these people got a little tired of being ignored so they’ve tagged their show with catchy name “No Coast”!
The Craft-O-Rama is put together by Crafters Local 612, who are 6 crafty gals (Tracy, Willa, Ellen, Kristen S, Eireann and Kristen Mary) from the area. What is the No Coast Craft-O-Rama? Here is their description:
A hip craft sale catering to unique handmade items of all sorts put on by people who wanted to have a venue for buying and selling crafts typically outside the “craft sale” or “art sale” norm.
I seem to have missed the boat in telling potential jewelry designers in the area about this, because although the Craft-O-Rama takes place in December, they have already loaded up on the 50 Vendors that they had planned for. Thus, if you want to apply you’ll have to wait for next year (for those interested, the deadline for applications is usually August 1 and the show is juried with entrants notified if they are selected in September).
However, you might want to mosey on over and check it out anyhow since admission to the event is free. Besides jewelry, there is a large variety of DIY crafts being sold, including knitting, sewn items, paper goods, silk-screened items, comics, zines, woodworking, clothing, toys, paintings, drawing, and prints.
The show takes is taking place on Saturday, December 3rd, 2005, 9am - 4pm at Columbia Manor Golf Course (3300 Central Ave., NE, Minneapolis, 55418)

Pam - I actually have no idea whether or not this No Coast show happens more than once a year… but you might want to email one of the organizers. But chances are it’s only once a year, probably around December to take advantage of those Xmas shoppers!

Are you having a show this year? If so is it possible to register to be in it still? I make alot of jewelry out of wood and bone beads. I have had alot of success with beaded lanyards for badges.I am constanly creating new products and shopping for unusual beads and findings. I dont use patterns of any kind nor kits. Thank you, kathleen
