What we want to start off doing is making a simple wirewrap loop connector out of silver wire using the round nose pliers. Make sure the piece of wire you use is long enough - I’d say at minimum 3 inches or so to be safe. I’m not going to go into those exact details about simple wirewrapping but just assume you know what I’m talking about. Basically, follow steps 2a through 3c of the Wirewrap Pendant Tutorial we have, except you are using silver wire instead of a headpin and no drop. Have a look Figure 2a below.

Apologies for some of the blurry pics; I’m just getting used to a newer camera and experimenting with new backdrops for the photos. Now that you’ve got the start of the wirewrap loop, slip one end of your metal chain link onto the loop end as in Figure 2b. Depending on how “tight” the loop is you may have to use a little force to get the chain into the loop. Don’t use too much force, though, or it’ll deform the loop.

Now, complete the wirewrap loop using the chain nose pliers as in Figure 2c. Again, if you’ve no idea how to do this, review the steps 4a-4c of the earlier Wirewrap Pendant Tutorial. You’re just closing up a basic wirewrap except that the chain is attached inside the loop. Trim off the tag end remainder of the wirewrapped silver wire with the sharp nosed pliers.
