Tic Tac Bead Box Fig 2
To get that pesky sticker off, simply flip the empty tic tac box on its side and cut through the sticker down one side right at the intersection of the container and the top lid. Be careful with that X-acto! I’ve sliced myself more than once doing something like this.

Next, flip it over and cut through the sticker again in the same way. This is so much easier than trying to peel off the sticker or soaking the box (I swear, it’s like they KNEW I was going to use tic-tac boxes for project so they went and made it difficult just for me!)

Tic Tac Bead Box Fig 3Well, if you were expecting something complicated sorry… because that’s pretty much it. The top of the lid should come right off, allowing for easy access. Fill it up with whatever beads or crystals you like.

I find it is really good for seed beads, because I’ve known seed beads to sneak through the spaces of those multi-compartment trays. With the Tic-Tac box the lid snaps on tight and then to get beads out you just open the top of the lid and pour. Pretty handy.

Tic Tac Bead Box Fig 4It’s much easier to pour beads and crystals into the box (even if you use a scoop or a folded piece of paper). In this picture is a metal spoon used to fill up the Tic-Tac Bead Boxes that is actually a cool mini candy scoop. Or, you can use a baby spoon too.

When you’ve filled it up, just snap the lid back on. (I just noticed that I snapped the lid on backwards in the picture! No matter… it is reversible.) Because the containers are rectangular, they can be stacked inside a larger box of stuff. The only problem I found is that if they are stacked up next to each other, it is difficult to tell what is inside from the top… I just write something on the top of each container.

The Tic-Tac box is one of the cooler mint boxes to use and since you used an X-acto to cut the sticker, it looks all nice too instead of raggedy. Not a bad bead container for a mint box that most people throw away!
