Tailoring The Title Tags for Each Page of a Website
A lot of people work to create a title tag that works for their home page and then use the exact same title on EVERY page of their website. While this may be fine for a simple 5 page website, for an extensive website with many products and a page for each product, it might be a good idea to tailor a title tag for each product page. If you use a Content Management System or dynamically generated pages, there is usually an easy way to tie in a Product name with the Title Tag. But even if you have static HTML pages, you simply need to change out the title tag to what you want for each product page.
The reason you’d tailor individual product pages in this way is to allow for even better targeting when people use a search engine. For instance, as “Aurora Bracelets” you might make different types of bracelets such as Swarovski and Rose Quartz Bracelets. In that case, you could have an individual product page Title Tag be something like “Rose Quartz Bracelets : Handmade by Aurora Bracelets” and “Swarovski Bracelets : Handmade by Aurora Bracelets”. Then if someone searches for either rose quartz bracelets or swarovski bracelets, they’d get that particular page of your site coming up in the search results, instead of just your home page.
