The key here is the silver plate earring hoops. They come pre-made and have the eyelet on the end that enable these wine charms to be made really easily. You can get a package of 20 silver plate 1 inch earring hoops at jewerly supply companies for about $2.50. You can also get sterling silver earring hoops but I wouldn’t recommend it, unless you happen to have some on hand!

Wine Charm Fig 2
The first thing you’re going to want to do is to put your beads on the hoop. For a simple wine charm, you could just put a bunch of random beads or crystals on, but I like a combination of alternated Swarovski crystals and clear seed beads. I usually put about 6 of the swarovski crystals on. If desired, you may want to add a larger bead drop such as the one in the picture onto the hoop. Note, you will need to wirewrap loop that bead if you would like it to hang down like a drop. The important thing is to remember that EACH wine charm must be different. Having different drops often helps with that. Otherwise the whole purpose, which is to tell one glass from the other, is completely shot!
