Review:

Black & Decker is a pretty well known name in appliances. They’ve made this pretty powerful and fairly compact juice extractor for a very reasonable price.

Like many of the cheaper models of juicemakers around, people have said that the Black & Decker JE1500 tends to pass “unprocessed” parts of the produce through into the pulp container at times, though it is better with certain types of fruits and vegetables with others. Why this happens seems to be due to a number of factors, but one customer said that the 400 Watt motor is spinning so fast that it’s running over certain parts instead of grinding them up. Not sure if that sounds plausible.

There are the usual complaints about having to clean the juicer, but if you’re going to get into the habit of juicing frequently you’d better get used to cleaning up after it. People seem to think that taking apart the juicer and cleaning the separate components is often not worth the small amount of juice that is made (similar to the effort of cleaning up after making only a small milkshake in a blender)

Still, this seems to be a pretty good deal for the money and for a beginning juicer you could buy much worse.
