This is a slightly unusual pairing of blueberries and pineapples with just a touch of ginger to give it some zing. The ginger can also act as a digestive aid for those with sensitive stomachs. Blueberries are of course known for their antioxidants, which often touted as candidates for fighting cancer. It can be difficult to juice up blueberries sometimes because they are so soft and relatively small. You may want to try and pack them with harder fruits to get the juicer to process them better.

Ingredients:

1/4 pineapple
1 cup of blueberries, skin OK
1 small piece of fresh ginger, cut into 1/4 inch pieces

Directions:

Cut off the exterior skin of the pineapple and then cut a quarter of it up into chunks. Add some pineapple to the juicer, then some blueberries and juice them. Add the ginger, and then the rest of the pineapple and blueberries.

Makes about 10 ounces of juice, enough for 1 serving.
