Cucumbers are an excellent juicing ingredient to use, particular in those warmer summer months. One reason that a lot of beauty salons and specialty shops put those cucumber slices on your eyes, because cucumbers contain Potassium which helps to maintain healthful skin. Juicing them provide even better benefits.

According to Wikipedia, cucumbers have been cultivated for nearly 3000 years. While most people encounter them in salads and pickles, they are also eaten in dips or cooked as part of dishes in some parts of the world.

In addition to being good for your skin, cucumbers are also said to help lower high blood pressure. Because they have an extremely high water content, they are a natural for making juice out of. However, preparing them often removes much of the vitamins and nutrients. Pickling them will get rid of most of the Vitamin C as well as other nutrients. And removing the skin (sometimes necessary because of the wax) will also get rid of the Vitamin A benefits. Still, many people enjoy adding cucumber juice to their drinks.

Interstingly, many people say that eating cucumbers make them burp!
