Review:
Hamilton Beach makes this compact juice extractor that features a fairly powerful motor for a decent price. Despite the fact that it does a halfway decent job at making a moderate amount of juice, a lot of people have numerous complaints about it. These include the flimsiness of the machine and the difficult of cleaning all of the parts. (The blade is probably best cleaned with an something like an old spare toothbrush).
Perhaps a bigger concern is that the juicemaker seems at times to pass through whole pieces of fruit (especially if the fruit is smaller) without even processing it, and the fruit pulp doesn’t often end up in the pulp bin.
There are differing opinions on whether or not the machine is considered “noisy”. Even if it is that’s no surprise considering that most of the purchase price probably does not go toward muffling the loud noises associated with these devices. There are any number of kitchen devices (coffee bean grinders come to mind) that are probably as loud.
