Papayas fall into the category of exotic juiceables for many people, but for others it’s more common. The flesh of ripe papayas has a smooth and creamy texture that is often so rich that it needs to be diluted with another liquid or water unless that thickness is desired.
They originally are from the Central American - Mexican area though they’re grown all over the place in tropical regions nowadays. Most people scoop out the seeds and throw them away along with the skin when juicing them, though interestingly the seeds are quite spicy and are ground up and used as a subsitute for pepper in some places.
Also, you might not even know it but you might be using part of a papaya in everyday cooking. Commercial meat tenderizers often have an enzyme called papain which is very effective in tenderizing meat.
