Pom Wonderful's Pomegranate JuiceI don’t think I need to completely rehash all the information out there about the benefits to be had from drinking pomegranate juice. Besides counteracting the plaque that clogs up arteries and leads to Athersclerosis, it is a great source of antioxidants which are said to help prevent diseases such as cancer and even slow down the effects of aging.

Whatever you believe, one of the most important reasons I like Pomegranate Juice is because it just plain tastes good. Actually, I’ll stand up for pomegranate seeds unjuiced just as quickly. Sure, it makes a great mess and stains. But you can’t beat the flavor and the nutritional benefits.

I’ve seen this brand of Pomegranate juice products in the market many times. They’re easily recognizable by the word “POM” with the “O” as a heart. I actually thought the name of the company was “Pom” but it’s actually Pom Wonderful. In addition to the pure 100% Pomegranate Juice and other blends (Mango, Blueberry, etc.) they also sell whole pomegranates which they grow to make juice from, and something known as “pomegranate tea” which is supposed to be packed with the aforementioned polyphenol antioxidants that are really good for you.

So anyway, the biggest problem with Pomegranate Juice that you buy in the supermarket may be the price. This is not cheap juice… if you can find a 46 oz bottle of the pure juice on sale for under 7 bucks then that’s pretty good. As it is, this same sized bottle of their juice often retails for $9.99 which is fairly hard on the wallet. It might make you think about trying to juice pomegranates yourself… go for it!

However, for those who just can’t get into juicing, this Pom Wonderful juice will do you well if you can afford it. As said before it is 100% juice with nothing added to it. Very tangy and with not much of the bitter zinging aftertaste that often comes with the territory. It also lends itself to a huge variety of mixed drinks, alcoholic and not. Particularly goes well with orange juice. You can treat it similar to how you would use cranberry juice.

Juicing Basics Rating: 6 out of 10
Approximate Price: $9.99 for 46 fl. oz. bottle

Thrilled to hear you enjoy POM Wonderful Pomegranate Juice! Also great to hear you’re so knowledgeable about the antioxidant benefits. I encourage everyone to try the POM Tea if they are looking for a milder taste. It is fantastic and quenching on a warm day. It also comes with a keepsake glass you can collect and reuse if you like. True the juice is not inexpensive, but tasty and healthy is a winning combination. For more information and recipes for please check out the pomwonderful.com website.

I started drinking POMWONDERFUL Juice about 5 months ago, when I started drinking it most people in this area had never heard of it. I was produce manager in a grocery store and found the name on my ordering list but never ordered it because it was so expensive and selling it at their price was unheard of. After I left the company I asked the new produce manager to order it for me to try. I was the only one buying it. After I tried it I couldn’t get enough of it , so I started advertising it by word of mouth. Then it was hard to get and I wanted it bad, I guess like an addict needed a fix. Now I have the produce manager order it specially for me by the case. I’d even thought of selling it myself but refrigeration space was a problem. I love to give it to friends as gifts, good way to get them hooked. I buy the 16-oz bottle love the bottle.
