Everyone’s heard about Popeye and how he eats Spinach in order to power his muscles, and a lot of people think that this comes from the high Iron content of Spinach. But in truth, spinach doesn’t contain as much iron as most people think. It has about the same amount of iron in it as most other dark green veggies. It is a significant amount of antioxidants and vitamins contained in it.
It was originally cultivated in and around southwest Asia. It’s a favorite among home gardeners because it isn’t as susceptible to cold, is fairly easy to grow, and is gives a bountiful crop compared to other vegetables.

I tried juicing spinach leave and ended up with a green slime that looked like something straight out of a horror film. Is this normal? How can anybody swallow that goo???

I find that juicing a handful of rinced spinach leaves mixed with carrot juice is a great combination. It definately takes over the color of any other vegetable. I think it tastes good and produces a calming feeling!

Switch juicers. The Green Star is the very best juicer because it masticates and does not spin. You will get a true spinach juice and not slime.

I do a whole bag of spinach and add some celery carrots or a bit of apple. Helps it go down too.

I juice spinach with one carrot, stalk of celery, green apple and half cup of pineapple cubed. Delicious! I drink this first thing every morning. Lots of energy at 53yrs young.
