Martha Stewart Crafts - The Paper Arts

You may remember that Martha Stewart actually stopped selling items on their website awhile back. That was a bit of a bummer, because they had some rather nice things (A side note: some of the retired products she sold online currently command a pretty penny on Ebay).

Well, it turns out they’ve made somewhat of a comeback which actually dovetails nicely with our coverage of Paper Arts. The new online store is called Martha Stewart Crafts which has over 500 different crafting products to choose from. Categories you might be interested in include Paper & Stationery, which has everything from notecards to tissue paper, Scrapbooking & Albums, Tools & Adhesives, and Kits.

We’ll probably feature more products from their store in the future, but we just wanted to give you a head’s up in case you haven’t heard of the store. Here’s an example of some of the kind of cool things that they have available. I saw this fun Paper Bag Puppet Kit which includes materials and parts to create six great animal hand puppets. This might be a great rainy day activity for kids. There’s a lobster, pig, dog, lion, frog and a bird in the kit which runs about $20.

I had a bad experience ordering from Martha Stewart Crafts. When I started searching the web for reviews of Martha Stewart’s shopping sites, I found other dissatisfied customers. I won’t be ordering from Martha Stewart Crafts, or any of Martha Stewart’s online stores.

Hi, I decided to approve this comment even though I usually try not to get involved in customer issues… I don’t want this to turn into some sort of complaint forum. That’s not what the blog is about.

However, this is interesting you had problems w/ ordering from Martha Stewart, because when they had their old online store, I know they did have a lot of problems as well. My mom’s first ever online shopping experience was with Martha Stewart and she had such a terrible and difficult time - it almost put her off ordering online forever. Luckily, I convinced her that not all online companies were like that. In any case, I’m going to go look up those other reviews you mentioned.

My daughter started a project for her wedding, and now cannot find more of the product. We have looked all over, and cannot find any (gold) lace bordert labels. Any ideas? WalMart said they can order but won’t be in on time, for a sept 27 wedding. Any ideas? Thank you.
