Just a quick note about a website I came across that has yet more paper automata and models… it’s called Paperpino. There are several different automata as well as models that caught my eye. The models are mostly boxy-headed figures and caricatures, but also include some interesting looking paper model office chairs.
The automata include a fun “counting sheep to go to sleep” paper model called “Sweet Dreams” and this interesting “International Spaceship 101″ that I actually mistook for an umbrella on first look! What’s nice about the site is that many of the models and automata are available for free PDF download. If you like this type of paper artwork, you’ll want to check it out.
