Rubbermaid Craft Paper Container - The Paper Arts at BloglanderSometimes it’s true what they say - the simplest things are the best. I’ve been sort of looking for some solution to keeping track of all those unwieldy holiday and birthday gift wrapping rolls that seem to collect in our closet. There are any number of newfangled gadgets for storing them - but this simple vertical plastic container from Rubbermaid seems like it’ll do the trick.

At 33 inches long and 17 x 10 in girth, it seems like it will hold most rolls of wrapping paper - they say it holds up to 20 rolls. The removable lid also provides a place to store scissors, tabe and ribbons. The plastic looks well constructed and resistants to normal cracking.

Here’s my thing though: since this is a vertical container and will probably be stored upright in a closet, why the limitation on height? Why not give a little extra room at the top for those longer rolls of paper? I would have liked this to be extra tall, perhaps 60 inches - sure it would cost a bit more, but I think most would pay the extra bit. Plus, it would be nice to have a bigger compartment for utilities. For the money, it’s a little pricey but it does what you think it’d do well - store wrapping paper in the closet.
