Sharpie Paint Markers • 12/26/05
Nearly everyone has used a Sharpie Marker at one time or another. These handy pens set the standard for fade and water resistant, quick-drying ink and for writing on those difficult-to-mark, smoother surfaces.
But I didn’t know that the company also makes these oil-based Sharpie Oil-based Paint Markers as well. This five pack of medium-point pens comes with the following colors: black, white, blue, red and yellow. I believe what makes the paint markers different is that you can mark really difficult surfaces such as concrete, pottery, wood, rubber, plastic and glass. It’s pretty much like having a tiny paint brush.
You could of course try and use normal Sharpie Markers for writing on rougher surfaces too, and I’ve successfully done it. It definitely tends to wear out the tip though. These Sharpie Paint Markers might be overkill for simple paper projects but it’s still worth mentioning in case you’ve got super rough paper to write on. As with all Sharpies be careful not to get the paint on clothes and other things as you’ll have a heck of a time getting it off!
