The CardMaking Kit • 3/14/06

I saw this interesting item called The Cardmaking Kit on amazon the other day. It’s basically a small kit with instructions for making homemade cards. The kit was created by Carey Jones and is published by Chronicle Books.

There are 10 project guide instructions included which allow you to make 25 handmade cards and envelopes. They provide the necessary paper and templates, stencils, stickers and even scissors.

Although The Cardmaking Kit doesn’t seem like it might be worth it for those who already know a lot about cardmaking ($22.95 list price), I think it might make a nice gift for either teens or anyone who’s just getting started with making their own cards.

I took a look at the papers and they’re fairly nice, though they seem to favor mostly yellow and pink (I would have liked to see more blues and greens). There are 27 sheets of paper included, along with 3 card-envelope templates, stencils and stickers.
