Wine Gift Bags • 12/30/05
If you’re like me, there’s a good chance you’re planning on attending some sort of New Year’s Party in a few days. It’s common courtesy not to show up completely empty handed at these shindigs, so a large majority of the adults opt to bring along a bottle of wine or two as their holiday offering.
You COULD just bring the bottle by itself (most hosts don’t turn down wine!) but maybe this year you want to spice it up a little by tying a bow or wrapping it in paper so that it looks nice. I saw these colorful Paper Wine Bags the other day on the Paper Source online store site which might be an even better idea.
Pictured are two of these festive colorful wine bags from India. The first features red hibiscus prints on a pale blue background and the second has silver and pale blue on a darker blue background. Both feature cords that let you close up the top of the bag easily. The bag is pretty nice and tall at 14 and a half inches which should fit most wine bottles easily, and the width is 4 inches by about 3.
You might want to stuff some colored tissue paper or something to cushion the bottle a bit. This might be a fun and festive way to make your wine stand out from the other 5 bottles that were brought to the party…
